The City
1 in 5 Milwaukee city workers live outside its borders, including about 1 in 3 firefighters and police officers.
The 75 year-old residency law was removed in 2013 by a WI state law, which was upheld by the state Supreme Court.
This is a response to the effects of lifting that requirement.
